The Park Slope Singers

A group of people who love singing and who perform in concert in Park Slope, Brooklyn, twice a year.  We do not hold auditions: anyone is welcome to sing with us for several weeks at the beginning of each semester to try us out. If you are uncertain of your ability, you can discuss it with other section members and with our music director Rod Sorensen.
If you decide to join us, we expect you to pay dues so that we can pay our rent, buy or rent music, and pay our conductor and  accompanist Steve Coburn.
Rehearsals are Monday evenings (except for some holidays) from 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM in the basement of St. Saviour's Church, 8th Avenue and 6th Street.  We also have an optional Chamber Choir rehearsal from 9:30 PM to 10:00 PM.  New singers may join during the first three or four rehearsals.  Cut-off for joining is the Monday before Columbus Day Weekend and the fourth Monday in February.  Thereafter, newcomers must wait until the next semester unless we are very short of singers in a specific section.
